JR Software Quality Assurance Analyst

Job Description:
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the JR Software Quality Assurance Analyst will play a key role in assuring the quality of PrintFleet software products by performing tests during the product release cycle. By working closely with Development, Product Management and Technical Support, you will ensure the product quality is constantly improving.

- Configure and maintain test environments on Windows platform
- Test Case creation and evaluation

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in a computer or engineering related discipline
- 3-5 years proven experience in software industry as a tester in various Windows environments

PrintFleet - IT Specialist
Location: Kingston, ON, Canada
Job Description:
The Information Technology Specialist position will be responsible for answering all internal technical support calls as well as general IT requests. This includes various hardware and network tasks.
At all times it is imperative that daily activities are integrated with a process oriented approach for reproducible and consistent results. Excellent Written/Verbal communication skills are required.
Typical Work Activities:
- Troubleshooting internal email/blackberry issues.
- Implementing a company-wide IT security policy.
- Managing internal network infrastructure including, SSL/DNS administration and imaging devices.
- Readying terminals for new employees or recycling old terminals.
- Creating documentation regarding internal IT procedures and self help information.
- Deploying and managing Virtual Machine installations and infrastructure.
- Managing on-site and offsite production backups.
- Ordering new hardware and configuring upon arrival.
- Managing internal employee PCs including troubleshooting software/hardware and network issues.
- Managing internal employee PCs including virus definitions, user account, email accounts, firewalls.
- Liaising with collocation and hardware support representatives.
- Providing support to technical support and development departments for various IT tasks.
- Distributing customer support materials such as new user guides, technical documentation/requirements.
- Implementation of a monitoring system to monitor performance and uptime on all production hardware.
Qualifications:
Equivalent to completion of two years of college-level coursework in computer science, information technology or a related field and 3-5 years of general IT administration or network administration experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.

Database Developer
Location: Kingston, ON, Canada
Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of Product Development, the Database Developer designs, develops and implements PrintFleet Enterprise Projects. They are also responsible for the design and implementation of solutions for new products/features as well as participating in product development planning.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Designs and develops programming components and databases
- Participates actively in product design process
- Helps Customer Support Team resolve client issues
- Interacts closely with Product Development team members to collaborate on new feature implementation and issue resolution, to share technical knowledge and provide mentoring to Application Developers and Student Developers
- Plans and performs tasks for current and future projects
- Produces builds of software and release notes
- Provides Tier 3 troubleshooting and occasional Tier 1 troubleshooting
- Demonstrates projects to Sales Department and clients, usually through conference calls or e-mail exchange
- Works closely with Quality Assurance on issue identification and resolution and clarifies product requirements to define test cases
- Consults with Technical Support on product behaviour and provides assistance on complicated customer issue resolution
- Communicates with hardware vendors regarding any questions, requirements and specification and implements findings
- Performs research on new technologies and tools available
- Implements & enforces best practices in coding and testing.
- Implements backend code to interface with database teir
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Software development or related field
- Expert-level .NET programmer
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Software Developer and/or Database Architect roles
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of document output segment, including knowledge of management of Print Devices
- Knowledge of requirements design and change management
- Understanding of information system design principles
- Expert with MS SQL Server, with deep knowledge of tuning indexes, optimal hardware configurations and SQL configuration settings
- Experience running production systems using at least one of: replication, log shipping, mirroring, clustering
- Experience designing and working with data warehouses (OLAP) and business intelligence tools
Technical Support Representative
Location: Kingston, ON, Canada
Description:
Technical Support Representatives are responsible for answering all front-line technical support calls and e-mails. This includes gathering technical specifications from the client and logging them into the technical support repository.
At all times it is imperative that daily activities are integrated with a process oriented approach for reproducible and consistent results. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Responsibilities:
- Taking front line technical support calls from customers
- Answering e-mail inquiries (technical support related and others)
- Managing imaging device model research, and inputting new model records in the PrintFleet Central Model Repository
- Generating and distributing required information for prospective customers to access trial accounts
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for trial accounts
- Deactivating and removing trial accounts when trials are complete
- Logging valid, new support cases in the CRM repository
- Sending daily overall PrintFleet Case/Account status report
- SQL querying including writing advanced customer reports
- Occasionally attending conference calls regarding customer inquiries that may be scheduled during non-business hours
- Distributing customer support materials to clients, including new user guides, technical documentation, requirements documents, etc.
Qualifications:
