PrintFleet Inc. Announces PrintFleet Optimizer Product Roadmap

April 29, 2005

Gananoque, Ontario, Canada – PrintFleet Inc., an industry leading print management solutions provider, recently published a product roadmap for their print management software, PrintFleet Optimizer.

Launched during the 2004 International Imaging Technology Council Conference in Miami, Fl, PrintFleet Optimizer is a ground-breaking software solution, developed to remotely monitor, report and manage output device fleets consisting of network connected printers, copiers, fax machines and multi-function peripherals.

"With over 50 dealers purchasing PrintFleet software in the past four months, we are ecstatic with the success of the product in the marketplace," stated Norm McConkey, President of PrintFleet Inc. "Enterprise customers have requested a roadmap to layout where product development is heading."

The PrintFleet software has two key products: PrintFleet Suite and Printfleet Optimizer. PrintFleet Suite is a versatile set of tools, contained on a USB Key which provides sales reps, service technicians and IT professionals the ability to instantly discover print devices on a corporate network, while checking toner levels, page counts and other valuable diagnostics. "In late May, PrintFleet Inc. will add a scan compare and report functionality which will help dealers perform audits in minutes that in the past took hundreds of hours," said McConkey.

PrintFleet Inc. has also responded to customer feedback on the PrintFleet Optimizer product line and will make available an Enterprise version of the software. "Instead of having PrintFleet Inc. host the data on printfleet.com, larger resellers with technical expertise can now offer the solution directly to their customers," McConkey stated.

PrintFleet Enterprise is the ideal solution for dealers and distributors that envision managing twenty or more customers and 5,000 or more printing devices. PrintFleet Optimizer will continue to be offered as a managed service and hosted from printfleet.com. "This is a great solution for dealers beginning to transition their customer service approach from a reactive supplies and break–fix service to a more proactive solution oriented approach."

On the data collection side, PrintFleet Inc. has broadened its offering to dealers. In addition to the Linux based data collection appliance currently available, in July 2005 PrintFleet Inc. will also offer a Windows® based version. "The benefit of the Windows® version is it now offers customers a choice of having the software installed on a standalone appliance on their network, or they can utilize existing hardware and install the software on a preexisting server."

"Overall, the marketplace is embracing a vendor neutral solution that offers customers solutions to the complex problem of controlling the costs of office printing," said McConkey. "We are excited about what the next few years have in store."
