Ontario, Canada – PrintFleet Inc., a world leader in print management and assessment software, recently announced the addition of Device Mapping and Custom Reporting modules into their remote print management systems, PrintFleet Optimizer Plus and PrintFleet Enterprise. These modules were developed through understanding the need for sales representatives to have the tools to create clear, visual representations of a printing environment when generating solution proposals for their clients. In addition, these modules boost the ability of IT and service technicians to spot and physically locate problem areas quickly and easily.
Currently, PrintFleet's remote monitoring systems generate a list of all networked printing devices and their respective data metrics. The Device Mapping module makes it possible to superimpose iconic images of each device onto an uploaded image of the client's office layout. Offices with multiple floors or locations can upload as many maps as needed. Once devices are placed onto a map, scrolling over a device will display the model, current status, and current supplies levels, with visual signals to indicate if a device is in a warning, error, or offline state.
"The mapping module is unique in the industry in that it visually places devices in their physical location, in addition to providing current data metrics collected with the software," stated Norman McConkey, President and CEO of PrintFleet Inc. "One look can tell you where all of the devices are and if any of them currently need attention. It also becomes apparent very quickly if there are areas overpopulated with printing devices, and other areas that might be able to use them. If a sales rep wants to use this information to make recommendations for relocating devices, they now have an easy way to demonstrate this visually using simple drag and drop icons."
Custom Reporting expands the current reporting module to include the flexibility to create reports with any combination of collected data fields, including the new unmanaged device field. With basic knowledge of constructing SQL queries, PrintFleet administrators can create their own reports based on the needs of their own sales and service personnel. Visual components can be added to custom reports using standard Microsoft® Chart Objects.
"PrintFleet continues to drive value for both customers and dealers. These new innovations, customized reporting in particular, are critical," stated Larry Sudbay, President and CEO of SymQuest Inc., Burlington, VT. "With one click, our sales team can see what percentage of the pages we manage at an account, and identify immediate opportunities for new device sales and cost reductions for customers."
"The addition of these modules into our Enterprise and Optimizer Plus systems will greatly enhance the experience of sales representatives when they are in the field proposing a solution," stated McConkey. "Critical data metrics are necessary to understand a client’s printing environment, and strong visual representations of the data reduces the time and effort it takes to show the client how inefficient and costly their current situation is."
